Rev. Dr. Wesley E. Palmer

Rev. Dr. Wesley Palmer serves as Executive Director of the Preachers’ Aid Society, succeeding Rev. Dr. Thomas Gallen. He brings deep gratitude for the foundation laid by Dr. Gallen, whose leadership expanded housing initiatives through Wesley Woods and Wesley By The Sea. Under Dr. Palmer’s direction, the Society continues its mission to care faithfully for pastors and their families through visitation, connection, and acts of compassion. He is grateful for the generosity of those whose gifts sustain this ministry and for the Board’s faithful stewardship that ensures its growth for years to come.

Director of Clergy Family Services – Southwest / Director of Pastoral Care

Rev. Dr. Hope Luckie

Rev. Dr. Hope Luckie serves as Director of Clergy Family Services for the Southwest region and Director of Pastoral Care. A certified spiritual director, supervisor, mentor, and interim minister, she holds a doctorate in ecumenism and interreligious dialogue and a Master of Divinity in spiritual formation and direction. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Dr. Luckie leads in many conference roles, including co-chair of the Open Spirit Task Force and member of COSROW. She is also a trainer for Dismantling Racism and Mentor programs. She enjoys travel, sailing, jazz, and gardening, and delights in time with her husband, Matthew Grasse, their children Gabriel and Eden, and their three cats—Maggie, Chloe, and Acorn.

Director of Clergy Family Services – New Hampshire/Vermont

Sue Davidson

Sue Davidson serves as Director of Clergy Family Services for New Hampshire and Vermont. A Licensed Local Pastor and graduate of the Methodist Theological School of Ohio, she served Center Conway UMC for two decades while working as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She now serves as Chaplain with Visiting Nurse Home Health and Hospice of Northern Carroll County and Western Maine and facilitates the Living with Loss support group. Passionate about a ministry of presence, Sue continues to provide pulpit supply and pastoral care throughout the region. She and her husband, Tom, make their home in Conway, New Hampshire, where she enjoys quilting, gardening, travel, and the beauty of the Mount Washington Valley.

Director of Clergy Family Services – Southeast

Mimi Wood-Magee

Mimi Wood-Magee serves as Director of Clergy Family Services for the Southeast region. Having previously served with the Preachers’ Aid Society in Maine, she also supports retired clergy across the New England Annual Conference. Adventurous and relational by nature, Mimi values the opportunity to meet clergy families, listen to their stories, and foster connection throughout southern New England. She believes that through shared time and conversation, lasting friendships are formed and needs are met with care and ease.

Director of Clergy Family Services – Maine

Lynn Briggs

Lynn Briggs serves as Director of Clergy Family Services for Maine. A graduate of Bangor Theological Seminary, she has served Buxton UMC and West Baldwin UMC, finding joy in leading Bible studies and children’s ministry. She and her husband, Scott, live in Denmark, Maine, with their sons Caleb and Kevin. Lynn loves the outdoors, whether tending her gardens, hiking, kayaking, or walking along the coast. She looks forward to traveling across Maine to visit clergy families and share in their stories.

Wendy Kirk

Wendy Kirk serves as Office Manager at the Preachers’ Aid Society’s main office in Wells, Maine. Originally from Saugus, Massachusetts, she has spent most of her life in New Hampshire and Maine. With over 35 years of experience in office administration, Wendy brings strong organizational skills and a gift for building relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys the theater, gardening, and cooking for family and friends at her home in Cornish, Maine.

Beth Phelps

Beth Phelps serves as Director of Development at the Preachers’ Aid Society, overseeing donor engagement and advancement efforts. Based in Wells, Maine, she works to strengthen relationships with those who make the Society’s mission possible and to expand support for clergy and their families across New England.
